Recorded and filmed live without overdubs at the Grammy Award-winning Bennett Studios, this EP/DVD features Pascalito’s new international jazz ensemble Neostalgia, introducing pianist Luiz Simas, bassist Leco Reis and drummer Conor Meehan. The 5-song bilingual session offers a timeless musical journey filled with jazzy sophistication, cinematic atmosphere and heartfelt interpretations of both original material and selections ranging from the 40’s (Charles Trenet) to the 80’s (Ryuichi Sakamoto) with the album-titled track Forbidden Colours from the Nagisa Oshima’s Japanese film score Merry Xmas Mister Lawrence (Furyo).
